𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡

Cathedral of the Holy Spirit parishioners led by parish priest Father Joachim Robert hosted a special tea and dinner for 120 Lighthouse clients on Malaysia Day on September 16, 2024.

 

The clients got their warm meals and enjoyed singing karaoke and clapping to familiar tunes like Rasa Sayang, Que Sera Sera, Moon Represents My Heart, and other songs.

The parishioners who volunteered are from the Caritas CHS Outreach cluster, which comprises the Society of St Vincent De Paul, Wake Group, Prison Ministry, and other kind and generous individuals. Goodies bags were also handed out to the clients by SSVP.

 

Fr Joachim Robert assured the clients that God is always with them and thanked them for coming to Lighthouse and allowing Lighthouse and the generous people to show they care. Although it was raining and a cold day, the clients knew they could turn to Lighthouse for a warm meal, genuine care, and a welcoming ambiance.
